Change of CFO at Synhelion

Synhelion’s CFO, Mirjana Blume, will leave the company in April 2024 at her own request. Much to our regret, Mirjana has concluded that given the rapid development of the company she would not be able to devote the necessary time to this increasingly time-consuming mandate alongside her other pre-existing business and personal commitments. After careful consideration and open discussions, she has decided to resign from her position at Synhelion and hand over her duties as CFO to new staff in an orderly manner in April 2024.

Mirjana Blume started at Synhelion in September 2021 as the company’s first ever CFO on a part-time mandate. In the following two and a half years, she supported the company with the capital increases in 2021 and 2022 and built up a solid financial structure at Synhelion. When it became clear that the CFO role would take up more of her time, she became Synhelion’s permanent CFO as per January 1, 2023. Mirjana not only strengthened the financial structure with great commitment and initiative, but also introduced various new processes and systems and converted the accounting standard from CO to Swiss GAAP FER.

Hans Hess, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Synhelion, says: “In her two and a half years as CFO of Synhelion, Mirjana Blume has built up a solid structure for the finance division and introduced new processes and systems. In doing so, she has laid an important foundation for Synhelion’s further growth. We owe her a great debt of gratitude for her excellent work and wish her all the best for her professional and personal future.”

On behalf of the two Co-CEOs, Gianluca Ambrosetti adds: “Mirjana has been an excellent addition to Synhelion’s management team both on a professional and personal level. She has made very important strategic contributions to the business plan, the business model, and the financial plan for the coming years. The entire team will miss her greatly, but we understand her decision. We are glad that she will continue to be available for a smooth handover in the next months.”

Mirjana Blume thanks Synhelion: “It has been a great time for me at Synhelion and I am proud to have made an important operational and strategic contribution to Synhelion’s success. The company is now entering a new phase and I am convinced that Synhelion has a great future ahead. I wish Synhelion continued success and I am eager to stay informed about upcoming milestones that the company will achieve.”

Synhelion’s Board of Directors has initiated the search for a new CFO with an executive search partner and looks to make a corresponding announcement in due time. To ensure a continued smooth operation of the finance function, the Board of Directors will consider engaging an experienced interim CFO until a new CFO is on board.
