With its proprietary technology, Synhelion produces syngas, the universal key to sustainable liquid fuels. The syngas is then processed into syncrude using standard Fischer-Tropsch process, which can then be refined into jet fuel, gasoline, or diesel. Plant DAWN’s Fischer-Tropsch unit has been commissioned.

Synhelion is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Syfrig as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Executive Committee. He will assume his duties after an introduction period starting March 25, 2024, succeeding the current CFO, Mirjana Blume, who departs on April 5, 2024.

In late 2022, Synhelion held a groundbreaking ceremony for its first industrial-scale demonstration plant, located in Jülich, Germany. Construction is progressing steadily, and more progress is visible day by day. Now, the solar tower has been erected.

Synhelion’s CFO, Mirjana Blume, will leave the company in April 2024 at her own request. Much to our regret, Mirjana has concluded that given the rapid development of the company she would not be able to devote the necessary time to this increasingly time-consuming mandate alongside her other pre-existing business and personal commitments.

Synhelion took part in the Sustainable Aviation Challenge of UpLink, the open innovation platform of the World Economic Forum, and has been selected as Top Innovator.

As of September 1, Synhelion has joined the WEF’s Global Innovators Community. The Global Innovators Community is an invitation-only group of the world’s most promising start-ups and scale-ups that are at the forefront of ethical technological and business model innovation.
